Autism and ADHD

Made for autistic and ADHD kids

Calm Family Printables started with our own family. One of our boys is neurodivergent, and the off-the-shelf tools never quite fitted him, so we made our own. Everything here started at our kitchen table.

How Calmlings supports your child

Calmlings is for every child, and it was designed with autistic and ADHD children in mind.

  1. The same steps, every time

Every Wobble is tamed the same four ways: meet it, choose your Calmlings, face it, stamp it Tamed! Predictable steps make a hard moment feel less unknown.

  2. Pictures, not lectures

Each card holds one idea and one clear picture. Children can point to a card instead of finding words when a feeling is big.

  3. Ready before it happens

Read the Wobble for the haircut, the dentist or loud noises in daylight, before the moment arrives, so there are fewer surprises.

  4. Calming that fits their body

Many Calmlings are sensory tricks: quiet ears with headphones, a cosy blanket, squeeze and let go, busy hands with a fidget.

  5. Movement for busy bodies

For kids who need to move, there are movement tricks like stomp it out, shake it out and stretch tall, plus a timer card and a first-then card.

  6. A bedtime they can see

The Moonlight bedtime cards set out the evening one picture at a time, from tidying toys to lights out, with a box to tick at each step. They come in the Complete Collection.

  7. Naming the feeling

Feelings Friends help children say what they feel and show how big it is, from one to five, then find what helps.

Every try counts

A wobbly try still earns an I tried! seal. Children colour in their brave stars, and big milestones unlock earned cards with their own name on them. The game rewards courage, not perfect behaviour.

Our other tools for neurodivergent kids

Every child is different, so use the cards in whatever way works for yours. Our printables are educational tools for families, not medical advice, and they work alongside your child’s doctors, therapists and teachers rather than replacing them.

Drag to turn the card all the way round. Double-tap to reset. On a phone, tilt your phone to tilt the card.
